Maybe this defies a stereotype, but I love camping. I think that the camp I went to in sixth grade was truly haunted. More on *that* later. If you’ve never got to experience camping somewhere haunted, I have the next best thing, Camp Crystal Lake. Yes, THAT Camp Crystal Lake. It’s actually called Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, and it’s where they filmed Friday the 13th! The camp is owned by the the Boy Scouts of America and is in Northwest New Jersey. There have been times where you could tour the camp, but now you can camp overnight! The tour is scheduled for April 13- 14, 2018. The VIP tour even includes a chance to meet Adrianne King, she played Alice in Friday the 13th. The latest tour is sold out at the moment. Join the mailing list to stay updated on new opportunities! This is the only approved touring event (by the Boy Scouts) at the camp. I’m pretty sure Boy Scouts do still camp there throughout the year. Even though it would be kind of funny to sneak in and give the kids the fright of their life....it’s kind of a jerk movie. Don’t do it.
